
Richard C. Krause
With over four decades of legal experience, Richard Craig Krause has been a trusted advisor and counsel to individuals, businesses, and trusts since 1981. He specializes in resolving complex federal and state tax matters, civil and criminal defense, and cases involving investment fraud, financial misconduct, and business disputes. A member of multiple federal courts, including the U.S. Tax Court and the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, Richard is dedicated to protecting his clients' rights and interests.
Beyond his legal career, Richard is a seventh-degree black belt and has studied martial arts since 1972, continuing to teach and mentor others. He is also a certified hypnotherapist. Married to his wife, Krista, for 36 years, they have two sons and are active members of St. Gerard Parish in Lansing, Michigan.

Mary Fedewa
With over 35 years at the Michigan Treasury Department, Mary developed deep expertise in tax collections, levies, and warrants. Her extensive experience in the Collections Department gave her an insider’s perspective on how tax agencies operate. After retiring, she sought to continue her work in taxation and joined forces with Richard Krause. It was then she realized her new mission—fighting for taxpayers rather than collecting from them.
For over 20 years, Mary has been an integral part of TaxpayersVoice.com, collaborating with top attorneys, CPAs, and financial professionals to defend individuals and businesses facing serious tax challenges. As the firm’s frontline representative, she is often the first person clients speak with, guiding them through the complexities of tax resolution with compassion, respect, and unwavering dedication.
Mary understands the stress and uncertainty of tax crises. She listens intently, providing the expertise and reassurance clients need to navigate even the toughest tax situations.


Steven E. Bangs
Steve has been practicing as a litigator & tax controversy attorney for over 30 years. Steve graduated cum laude from law school and has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Licensed to practice in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Federal District Court, Western District of Michigan and the United States Tax Court, he has successfully handled hundreds of tax controversies for individuals & businesses throughout his career including collection challenges, penalty challenges, settlements, responsible officer accusations, criminal tax evasion accusations, innocent spouse, audit, appeals, collection hearings, & litigation in the United States Tax Court and the Michigan Tax Tribunal. Mr. Bangs also litigates individual and business disputes and probate/trust matters in state court.
Mr. Bangs enjoys spending time with his family and playing ice hockey.
